I enjoyed this book way more than I thought I would. It was creepy, fast-paced, and just an overall well-developed story. The description doesn’t actually tell you anything about the story, which in a lot of ways I think works against the story; but I get the whole “less is more” kind of vibe. Although I was really looking forward to the release of The Milk Boy late October, I can’t say it lived up to my expectations. Still, I was so intrigued by the originality of the legend, I searched Google (to no avail) for more details. This is one of my favorite stories of 2020. It kept me curled up on my couch, anxiously flipping the pages, until I finished it; my only complaint would be that I honestly want a full-length novel out of this!
